Tour Overview
During this 5-day Tasmanian photography workshop, we’ll take you through some of the island’s most iconic and picturesque locations, offering a wide variety of stunning landscapes to capture. From the majestic Russell Falls, surrounded by lush ancient forests, to the breathtaking views at Wineglass Bay, where white sand beaches meet turquoise waters, this workshop is designed to showcase Tasmania’s natural beauty.
Â
We’ll also visit the spectacular Bay of Fires, with its vibrant orange lichen-covered rocks and rugged coastline, and explore the dramatic peaks and reflective lakes of Cradle Mountain. The peaceful setting of Paris Dam offers yet another contrast, with calm waters framed by forested hills, perfect for serene landscape photography.
Â
In addition to these daylight scenes, we’ll seek out opportunities to photograph bioluminescence along Tasmania’s coastline, a magical phenomenon where the water glows in the dark. Depending on the conditions, there’s also a chance to witness and capture the Aurora Australis, adding another layer of wonder to your night photography. We’ll focus on sunrise and sunset sessions to make the most of the changing light, and you’ll stay in comfortable accommodations close to our key locations for easy access during peak shooting times.
Â
Throughout the workshop, you’ll receive personalised instruction to help refine your techniques in various lighting and weather conditions—whether it’s capturing the golden hour, twilight, or even the Southern Lights. This immersive experience will allow you to fully explore Tasmania’s wild landscapes and elevate your photography skills.
